*** UPDATE: GRAND OPENING HAVE BEEN DELAYED***

A new player is entering the new bar scene game and it’s coming in strong.

The new attraction “The Bearded Rooster”, located on W Atlantic and W 5th Ave right behind the Libbey Wesley park, has been a fixture in Delray since the 50’s, remembered fondly by locals as a jazz bar where famous musicians used to frequent, as well as our local favorite “Uncle Curtis”.

The property was most recently known as The Vintage Tap. New owner, BH3, took it upon themselves to transform the entire place, renovating the back yard area, as well as painting the entire building with murals and art. In fact, their first mural of their new initiative with Galera Collective “Paint The City”, painted by David Paul Kay, is wrapping the entire bar. An interior wall mural painted by Ripe, a local artist, features The Bearded Rooster art.

As operating partner, BH3 recruited Stefano Barbagallo of CEO Hospitality Group - a well recognized veteran in the hospitality industry in South Florida, to conceptualize and manage. The new vibe as described by Stefano is going to be of a chic modern lounge with a lit garden in the back, featuring music from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and 90’s with interactive games. The cocktail menu is going to have the most attractive prices on the ave offering $6-$7 drinks, regardless of a happy hour time restriction. “We are going to have the most competitive drink prices on the ave, as well as a wine selection not currently available anywhere else”, says Stefano. “We want this to become a hub for locals to come and hang, hear good music and enjoy themselves. There’s going to be plenty of activities to engage in while you’re here, surrounded by art…and it’s all going to be very “instagram” worthy”.

BH3’s vision is to transform the west side of Atlantic through emerging the old with the new, respecting the old, yet refreshing it. Their “Paint The City” project as well as this new attraction “The Bearded Rooster”, are all meant to revive the west side and make it an attraction for locals to enjoy “It’s not all about money. There’s other things that can influence and help neighborhoods emerge” says Daniel Lebensohn of BH3.

Well, we can’t wait to experience all the new art, music and drinks in this way overdue area of town.
